In 2001, the Black Former Student Network (BFSN) was formed in an effort to promote the interests and support the relationships of the African American constituency of Texas A&M.
Membership in the BFSN is open to all persons who support our purpose. We invite all persons of all cultural, religious, and political backgrounds to join us in our efforts. An active BFSN member contributes $50 per calendar year. Active membership in The Association of Former Students is strongly encouraged by the BFSN.
Chartered Networks of Texas A&M University are committed to:
- Strengthening The Association of Former Students
- Promoting the interests and welfare of Texas A&M University
- Perpetuating ties of affection and esteem formed in university or college days
- Serving the student body
